This staircase has been painted green. This was done on-site by the customer.
Painting stairs is a popular option and often creates a unique look.
The customer opted to have pine treads and risers, even though the stairs were to be carpeted. However, if the stairs are carpeted, we'd recommend MDF & plywood for the treads and risers.

If stairs have spindles, they're generally 41mm. However, more recently, 32mm spindles have become more popular. 
We keep 32mm Georgian spindles in stock, which give a more slick look

A typical new build house has a floor height of 2650mm.
The floor height in this house is only 2150mm, which, although very low, is common for older properties such as barns, etc.

Traditionally, it was the case that if a staircase had turned spindles, it would have turned posts. However, it's become more typical to have turned spindles with square or even chamfered posts.
This staircase features 90mm square posts with 32mm turned Georgian spindles.
